The Redmi 10 2022 is built with the same material as Tecno Pova Neo. It consists of a glass front, plastic frame and plastic back. The design is no different from the primary Redmi 10. The dimension of the device is 162 x 75.5 x 8.9 mm (6.38 x 2.97 x 0.35 in). The phone is available at our store in three colors Carbon Gray, Pebble White and Sea Blue
The smartphone comes packed with a 6.5 inches (16.51 cm)IPS LCD Display and offers 1080 x 2400 pixels screen resolution which offers the best midrange clarity when streaming or reading a text. This is also one of the largest displays when compared to the likes of Redmi Note 10S, but if it doesn’t meet your needs we have the Samsung Galaxy M53 5G and the Galaxy M52 5G.
Camera-wise, the Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 is packing a 50Mp rear snapper and an 8Mp front sensor housed within the display. On the rear, it’s a little no-thrills and a bit too functional for my taste. Images are clear, but lacking in vibrancy, not helped when viewing them back on the basic LCD screen. Contrast is minimal across the board, something which, when paired with the screen, makes all images appear washed out. In the daytime, though, colors are fairly accurate, but if you’re looking to get a phone for photography then this isn’t it you will instead need the . Videos lack OIS (optical image stabilization), and caps out at 1080p at 30fps, with 720p resolution also an option.
The smartphone is powered by a MediaTek Helio G88 (12nm) chip that ensures more Powerful and Dynamic Game Performance. The Xiaomi Redmi 10 2022 runs MIUI 12.5 like its predecessor. Xiaomi’s own particular flavour of Android is on the top of Android 11. An update to the current Android 12 seen in Redmi Note 11 Pro Plus is likely at some point. For now, though, MIUI 12 is pleasant. It’s nicely customizable, has a quick and easy setup assistant, and doesn’t feel hugely different from the stock version of Android.
The 2022 Redmi 10 has a large 5000mAh battery similar to Oppo K10, that will easily last a day and a half. Less active social media scrollers or gamers will easily hit two days before needing to plug it in.
A fast-charger is included, too, with 18W fast-charging as standard and a 9W reverse charging. That, by today’s standards, is not very fast at all. In our usual 30-minute test from dead, the Redmi 10 only reached 29% charge.
