The Nokia C200 is a new budget phone, with a great value proposition. It packs an entry-level Snapdragon 480 chipset, an averagely sized 6.09-inch IPS LCD screen, a decent 13MP primary camera, a huge 4000 mAh battery, and 15W standard charging. All specifications considered it might be one of the cheaper Nokia entry-level budget devices.
The Nokia C200 comes with a 6.09-inch IPS LCD screen with a dew drop design for the selfie camera, making it a smaller phone factor device than the others, which average around 6.5 inches. It has a screen-to-body ratio of 79.6% and is quite bright and vivid, peaking at 400 nits with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9 and supports HD (720p) which makes it fairly decent to consume media with. It has a plastic frame and back, and a shutter-proof front panel. It comes with a radio and a headphone jack. It does not have a fingerprint sensor, unfortunately. It has a downward-firing speaker, which is great for playing media.
The Nokia C200 comes with the entry-level budget Mediatek A22 chipset, making it quite fast and decent for gaming. It has a Cortex quad-core 2.0GHz CPU paired with a PowerVR GE8320 GPU, with storage options of 3GB for RAM & 32GB ROM. It also has a dedicated expandable memory option, which is a plus. Running the latest stock Android 12, the performance feels very fast and premium. No lags or slow transitions on this one. Everything feels fast, fluid, and rich in color.
The Nokia C200 has a single camera arrangement on the back. It comes with a decent 13MP wide primary sensor, for those excellent daylight photos. The camera expectations here should be a little tapered but they should be basically usable and decent light. The video can support 1080p video at 30 fps, with HDR support & gyro-EIS stability assistance. The selfie camera is a decent 8MP wide sensor, capable of 1080p video at 30fps. The selfies are great and well-lit.
The Nokia C200 has no fast charging, which means it charges at basic 15W, which can get the phone fully charged in a little over an hour. That’s fairly usable. That is in addition to the fact that it also comes with a Li-Po 4000mAh non-removable battery, which is rather generous. Even with a power user, this should be more than enough. Of course, there is no wireless charging here nor does it support NFC for contactless paying. It comes in Charcoal and Blue.
Similarly, priced phones would include Tecno Pova Neo, Infinix Pop 5 Pro, the Oppo A16K, and Realme C25Y. the main distinction at this price point is often a choice of a better camera or more memory. The sizes are usually standard and the batteries are often huge. It’s unlikely there are wireless charging options as the price is too competitive.
The design is great, with a solid compact build, despite it having an entry-level chipset. The OS is stock android, which offers the least bloatware of all android skins. With a single camera system, it must be one of the cheaper Nokia devices.
