Nokia 1.3 costs 8,500 shillings in Kenya. It has a 5.71-inch display, 1 GB RAM, 16 GB of internal storage, and a 3000 mAh Battery. The 1.3 by Nokia is powered by a Quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex-A53 Qualcomm QM215 (28 nm) processor and comes with a single 8 MP camera and a 5 MP selfie shooter. The phone was released in 2020, April 02 running Android 10 (Go edition), Android One – Official product website.

The Nokia 1.3 comes with 5.71 inch IPS LCD screen, with an Infinity U teardrop design to accommodate the selfie camera. It is of course a plastic frame with no fingerprint scanner. The phone employs a single camera set up. It has a slight chin at the bottom, a speaker grille, a 3.5 mm jack but unfortunately a micro USB charging connector. The 720p screen achieves a body to screen ratio of 77.6%, an aspect ratio of 19:9, and a 295 PPI density. It feels a little basic and cheap though.
The Nokia 1.3 comes with the very entry-level Snapdragon 215 alongside a quad-core 1.3 GHz Cortex A53 CPU, and an Adreno 308 GPU. It has 1 GB RAM choice and 16 GB of internal eMMC 5.1 storage, with a dedicated micro SDXC card slot. All these features point to a low-budget device therefore performance should average at best. Intensive tasks could take a hit but nothing too embarrassing. You may also like Nokia 2.3.
The Nokia 1.3 will come with a single camera set up, with a basic 8 mp primary wide lens to do all the lifting. The photos will be basic and usable at the very least, but only in optimal conditions. A little low light or overexposure and the lens is expected to struggle. It can at least shoot 720p video in 30fps. The selfie camera is a 5 mp lens, also capable of 720p video recording. The selfies will be basic but usable.
The Nokia 1.3 at least comes with a small 3000 mAh, non-removable Li-Po battery, which should suffice since there isn’t much power usage going on in here. It can at least last the whole day, and with a not so power-intensive LCD screen and a low budget chipset, the endurance can probably improve. It comes with micro USB so we expect standard 10W charging, which isn’t that bad considering the battery is small.
The Nokia 1.3 ships with the android 10 based stock android One, the Go edition, the best and the latest. The experience should be fast and fluid. Considering that the UI is not only light but the fact it comes with no bloatware. Which is something Nokia has been praised for before. The experience would probably be the best at this price range – see all Nokia phones.
The Nokia 1.3 promises to be a great budget phone, without the unnecessarily bloated custom software. It has a sizable screen and a decent battery. This is just a phone for the low entry-level user, but still well balanced for day-to-day use.
